ValuGadgetz operates valugadgetz.com, an online shop selling desk and EDC gadgets, children’s learning devices and play equipment, and small-studio photography and retail hardware. This policy sets out what we collect from you, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to everyone who browses the site, contacts us, or places an order.
What we collect. If you buy something, we need your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and phone number, along with the contents of your order. If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we keep your message and whatever you chose to include in it. If you subscribe to stock alerts, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Separately, our site and its hosting infrastructure record technical data as you browse: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and which pages you looked at.
Card details. We do not see or store your full card number. Payment details are entered on our checkout and passed directly to our payment providers, who process the transaction under their own security obligations. What comes back to us is a confirmation, the last few digits, and a transaction reference.
Why we use it. To take payment, pack and ship your order, send confirmation and tracking emails, handle returns and warranty claims, answer your questions, detect fraudulent orders, keep our accounting records, and — only if you asked for it — send occasional emails when new stock lands. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Who else sees it. Your personal information is not sold and not rented. It is shared only with the companies that make the shop function: our payment providers, the shipping carriers who deliver your parcel, our web host, and our email platform. Each receives only what that job requires. We will also disclose information where the law compels us to, or where it is needed to investigate fraud or protect someone’s safety.
Cookies. Cookies keep your basket intact between pages, remember your preferences, and help us understand which pages people use. Your browser lets you block or delete them, though the cart and checkout may stop working properly if you do.
Keeping and deleting it. Order and transaction records are kept for as long as tax, accounting and consumer-protection rules require. Enquiries and marketing subscriptions are kept until they are no longer useful or you ask us to remove them. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no website or transmission method is perfectly secure and we cannot promise otherwise.
Your choices. Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, or object to particular uses of it. Write to the address below and we will respond within the period the applicable law allows, after checking that the request genuinely comes from you.
Children. This shop is intended for adults. Several products are sold for children, but they are bought by adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
Updates. When this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means the updated version applies to you.
